Fingerprint Snowman Christmas Ornaments

These Easy to Make Wood Slice Fingerprint Snowmen Christmas Ornaments are a cute and festive holiday craft.

I LOVE all of the keepsake ornaments my kids have made for me over the years.

I love to compare them from year to year, to see how much they’ve grown.

As the kids get older, they also enjoy the memories each handmade ornament brings back for them, and one day these will adorn their own Christmas trees!

We had so much fun making these Christmas ornaments!

These are the supplies needed to create this craft.

Wood Slices
White & Blue Paint
Paint Markers
Paint Brush

Paint the wood slice blue.

You can mix in a bit of white to get the shade you want.

It’ll take about 1-2 coats.

Allow to dry completely.

Dip your children’s fingers into white paint.

Help them firmly press them down onto the wood slice.

Use a paint brush to paint on white snowflakes.

Use the end of a paintbrush or any tool with a round end to add snow.

Allow white paint to dry completely.

Use paint pens to draw on black top hats.

Use paint pens to draw on colourful scarves.

Use a black paint pen to add coal eyes, coal buttons and a coal mouth.

Use an orange paint pen to draw on a carrot nose.

Use a black paint pen to add detail.

Use a white paint pen to add detail to the eyes.

Use a pink paint pen to draw on rosy cheeks.

Use paint pens to add a colourful stripe to the hats.

Slide a bit of twine, ribbon, or yarn through the small hole at the top and tie a knot on the top.

Have your kids sign the back with their name and year so if you have multiple children you can tell them apart when they are grown 🙂
