For a fun fall crafting activity try my Apple Tree Kids Craft which is ideal for young children. Set out the crafting materials and then watch as they create. With this easy fruit tree craft for kids I don’t like to get too prescriptive and prefer to allow the kids to express their creativity.

Apple Tree Craft for Kids
When my kids were little, they had so much fun making crafts to go with each season. It helped them gain many skills, even though they didn’t realize it at the time.
This Apple Tree Kids Craft is a great fun fall crafting activity, which helps with cutting skills, grasping skills (sequins), and provides an opportunity for their creativity to be expressed.
Crafters can place their sequins randomly, in a pattern, or practice counting to use a specific number of apples. Tree trunks can be drawn in straight lines, patterns, or have hidden initials drawn on.
This easy fruit tree craft activity is ideal for preschoolers or young kids, as they can do most of the work themselves, with some adult supervision.

- Slide the tree top into slits on the toilet paper roll.
- Use the brown marker to draw “tree bark”

Variations:
When my kids were young we spent many happy afternoons sitting around the kitchen table crafting. Crafting is fun way for our kids to expressive their creativity. Here are some ideas to mix this craft up:
- I’ve used sequins to make the red apples on the tree, but you can use buttons, apple shaped stickers, or even fashion apple out of colored foam.
- If you don’t have colored foam sheets, you can also use sheets of colored card.
- Use animal or bird shaped stickers to add extra decoration to the tree and around the base or trunk of the tree.
