Tips for Success/Variations:

  • One of the best brands of whipped topping to use is Cool Whip. Be sure to take it out of the freezer and let it thaw in the fridge before you need to put it on the pie.
  • These ingredients are delicious mix-ins for your vanilla pie: peanut butter, strawberries, cherries, coconut, bananas, and pineapple.
  • The best brand of instant pudding is Jell-O.
  • You can use vanilla wafers instead of Golden Oreos if you like the old-fashioned flavor.

How to Serve:

Some other desserts you can make this year are Cake Mix Chocolate Crinkle Cookies, No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies, Homemade Sugar Cookies, or Cake Mix Red Velvet Heart Crinkle Cookies

How to Store:

You can also tightly wrap the pie in plastic wrap and then freeze it for up to three months.

To thaw, let it sit on the counter for two hours or in the refrigerator overnight.

Even though vanilla isn't my favorite flavor, I am a HUGE fan of pudding pies. They are so easy to make and my kids love them.
