Homemade Tomato Soup
is creamy and made with canned tomatoes, onions, garlic, dried basil, and oregano
– cans whole tomatoes
– heavy cream
– dried basil
– dried oregano
– Salt and pepper
1. Heat the butter over medium heat.
When the butter is melted, add the onion and garlic and sauté until tender, around 5 minutes
2. Add the tomatoes with the juice in the can, water, heavy cream, basil, and oregano. Stir to combine.
3. When the cook time is up, transfer the soup to a blender and blend until smooth.
4. Then return the soup to the pan and reheat, if needed, and season with salt and pepper before serving.
