So I have a question for all of you. Do you use printable online coupons, and if so, do you have a reliable, easy way to locate them? Several of my personal friends and family members have said to me that they see links online for coupons they’d like to have, but by the time they click the link, the print limit has been reached. They are frustrated, and wonder how they can get access to them faster. They approached me with it, because I do have links to many sites on my Coupons and Money Savings Sites page at Practical Frugality. They are there and available for anyone to use, but it’s pretty stagnant as I rarely promote the fact that it’s there. Even though that site is about being frugal, most of the loyal readers aren’t interested in having me post all of the coupons as they are released, and feel it’s *spammy*, so I try to only post a few deals here and there that I think will be beneficial. These ARE affiliate links, but only pay a few cents per print. I don’t post them for the money, I post them to help people. The only way to gain access to the links is by signing up as an affiliate, AND I can’t print links through my own links because it’s against TOS, so I always search out sites of my blog friends and print through them.
So, in discussing this issue with the people asking about it, they all indicated they’d like for me to post more of the deals. I am not opposed to that, but currently I am very short on time, so it’s difficult to get them posted quickly when the new coupon releases are emailed to me. I was looking around at different plug ins and options, and found that there IS a plug in that will auto post the new releases from sites such as coupons.com, and then do a final post each day with links to all of the coupons released for that day. Since most of the coupons are food related, I thought this cooking/food blog would be a more appropriate site for me to share them on. However, the plug in does cost about $40. Eventually, after a couple hundred coupons were printed through the widget, I’d re-coup the money through the affiliate links, so I’m not worried about the cost, I just want to make sure that it’s something that people A) would like AND use B) find helpful and C) not feel was spammy. I do not plan to have the posts auto post on facebook because I DO NOT want to clog feeds. To know when the links are posted, you could just subscribe via EMAIL or RSS and then click to open only the links or coupons you were interested in.
So please take just a moment and leave me a comment to let me know you’d be interested (or NOT interested) on this post or via the comment form
As for other posts here, there are occasional giveaways, but will primarily be recipes (I DO accept guest posts with quality photos from fellow bloggers and readers who may not write their own blog).
