Last year, our health insurance company began a new program to help us get healthier. My program began with using a FitBit and a minimum number of steps, to help me be more active. I made a few dietary changes, but after my recent checkup, I still need to make additional changes. As a family, we’ve decided that long term lifestyle changes will work better for us than following any fad diet plans that can be difficult or complicated to follow. We simply want to make smarter choices when we’re eating, and make sure that we’re consistently more active.
Although Hood Calorie Countdown can be enjoyed at any time of the day, breakfast is the most difficult meal of the day for me, and is where I am currently focusing my efforts. I’m taking baby steps to change habits over time. Next month, I’ll be working on other meals of the day 🙂 Historically, I’ve just skipped breakfast. I know that’s not a good choice, and my reasons for skipping breakfast come down to being very busy in the mornings and I’m a picky eater so there aren’t a lot of healthy breakfast items I get excited about eating. I have found a couple of cereals that I like (and meet my dietary guidelines), and I’ve found that I LOVE fruit smoothies. I was so excited to discover Hood Calorie Countdown. Using Hood Calorie Countdown as my preferred dairy product allows me to still eat my favorite cereal or a smoothie for breakfast. As you can see from the photo above, key nutritional information points are clearly and obviously labeled on the front of the package, so it’s easy to determine how this product fits into your nutritional guidelines.
Once I’ve had breakfast, I feel more energized and ready to take on the day.
I found Hood Calorie Countdown in the dairy section of my local Walmart Supercenter, and it’s available at other local retailers as well. When my boys first tried it, all three declared that it tastes like a milkshake to them, and I must agree, it’s delicious! Hood is our preferred brand of milk, because they produce high quality dairy products, so it’s no surprise that the Hood Calorie Countdown product tastes very creamy and divine! With 42% fewer calories, 75% less sugar and 67% fewer carbohydrates than milk, it’s a fantastic choice! I also love that Hood Calorie Countdown comes in a variety choices including Whole, 2%, Fat Free, and Chocolate while providing 25% of your Daily Value for calcium and 15% of your Daily Value for Vitamin D (based on a 2,000-calorie diet) per one cup.
